By Car
We are on the A612 between Nottingham and Newark. Coming from the North head for the A614 then the A617. Once in Southwell follow signs for the festival. The entrance on Crew lane is Next to BP petrol station on the A612. If using a satnav You should set it to NG25 0TX, which will bring you to the Crew Lane entrance.

Buses and Trains
It is easy to get to Southwell and the Festival by public transport: Stagecoach Buses No. 28 and 29 run between Newark Bus Station and Southwell. The distance from Newark Northgate railway station to the bus station is about 15 to 20 mins walk, or you could walk to Newark Castle station and get the train to Rolleston Station which is only a few minutes walk to the site. Rolleston is on the line between Nottingham and Newark Castle stations.
The Pathfinder 100 service runs every 30 minutes between Southwell and Nottingham.
Festival Shuttle Bus
We will be running a shuttle up and down Racecourse road to save you the walk into Southwell.
It is it £2 for a return trip. Tickets are on sale at the festival box office and will need to be bought before hopping onto the bus. Don’t worry about having a ticket for the journey from Southwell into the festival – you won’t need to show a ticket in this direction, so if you are in town without a ticket just jump aboard and pay when you leave.
Buses will be running to a timetable, which will be be available at the box office and will be attached to bus-stops in town too. You can download a copy here Bus timetable
See below – NB the first two buses on Saturday are for Dancers who need to get into town for their appearances.
Cycling
Racecourse Road will be open to bicycles throughout the festival.
