The entrance on Crew lane is Next to  BP petrol station on the A612.  If using a satnav You should set it to NG25 0TX, which will bring you to the Crew Lane entrance.

There will be roadworks in Upton on Thursday 9th and the road may be affected on other days too. When the road is closed, please follow diversion signs to the festival where indicated as these will bring you to us by the best route.

Buses and Trains

It is easy to get to Southwell and the Festival by public transport:  Stagecoach Buses No. 28 and 29 run between Newark Bus Station and Southwell. The distance from Newark Northgate railway station to the bus station is about 15 to 20 mins walk, or you could walk to Newark Castle station and get the train to Rolleston Station which is only a few minutes walk to the site. Rolleston is on the line between Nottingham and Newark Castle stations.

The Pathfinder 100 service runs every 30 minutes between Southwell and Nottingham.

We will post details of the timetables closer to the festival dates.

Festival Shuttle Bus

bus

We will be running a shuttle up and down Racecourse road to save you the walk into Southwell.

On Thursday evening it will be free (kindly sponsored by Gusto Homes, builders of Bechers Court, a new home development just off The Burgage in Southwell). On other days it will be £2 for a return trip. Tickets are on sale at the festival box office and will need to be bought before hopping onto the bus. Don’t worry about having a ticket for the journey from Southwell into the festival – you won’t need to show a ticket in this direction, so if you are in town without a ticket just jump aboard and pay when you leave.

Buses will be running to a timetable, which will be be available at the box office and will be attached to bus-stops in town too. You can download a copy here bus timetables

See below – NB the first two buses on Saturday and  Sunday are for Dancers who need to get into town for their appearances.
